Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway (1Km) - For the last 75 years, 'the world's smallest railway' has been operating its one-third full size locomotives through Kent's historic Romney Marsh. From Hythe travel all the way to Dungeness, with its shingle headland and Power Station to visit. www.rhdr.org.uk
  Cross the Channel to France (4 miles) - Take the Eurotunnel only 4 kms away, or cross by ferry from Dover to experience a day trip to France with its glorious food and of course the shopping!
Dover Castle (20Km) - With over 2000 years of English history, Dover Castle is a must for visitors to the area. There is plenty to see, with the Sound and Light show, Secret Wartime Tunnels and Admiralty Look-Out amongst them.
 
City of Canterbury (12 Miles) - Canterbury is an easy drive from The Hythe Imperial and has much to offer, including the Cathedral, shopping and The Canterbury Tales, which captures the feel of medieval life with stunning reconstructions of 14th century Canterbury. http://www.canterbury.co.uk/

Folkeston Race Course (5 Miles) - Watch the horses thunder by   as you enjoy delicious food and wine at Folkestone Racecourse - Kent's only horse racing venue. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, Folkestone is host to over twenty days of racing a year, both Flat and National Hunt.

Hythe Sailing Club is a family-friendly sailing club, lying between Southampton and the New Forest, with ready access to safe dinghy sailing waters and The Solent, Isle of Wight and beyond. Membership is currently around 300 and with swinging moorings and pound space available for both cruisers and dinghies.
